Moms get busy on the beach - New York Daily News

mant.jpgWe Moms & The City had a good excuse to get out of the city and head to Turks and Caicos for a few days. (But really who needs an excuse?!)
It was Melissa's second wedding...but to the same man.  She and her husband, Anthony, decided to renew their vows.
We were invited to join in on the festivities with our families. And once we arrived at the Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos it was nonstop fun.  The event brought together three different families and different generations.  Beaches managed to make the old(er) and young feel absolutely perfect. We relished in our children playing with each other on the beach as we ate under the beautiful night sky at one of their amazing count1_0.jpgbeachfront restaurants.  And our kids were delighted with all of the Sesame characters they got to see all day long.  Elmo even came to join them at their dinner party!
For the all of the kids the water slides did the trick all morning and then they enjoyed collecting sand dollars from their snorkeling excursions.  And Melissa's youngest couldn't get enough of the Sesame Characters. Abby even tucked her in one night!
Besides the wedding, the best part about our long weekend at Beaches was the choices we all had.  Whether our moms wanted to sit in the kiddie pool with our youngest kids, whether we (Denise) wanted to live out our daredevil side by trying out the simulated surfing, or boogie boarding with her son, and even banana boating with our kids, riding down on the tubed slides with our kids, or ending the day with ice cream and snacks from any of the candy or desert shops, Beaches truly offers what many full islands don't -- fun for everyone, of all ages

It was a weekend filled with romance, family, love and laughter.  We raina_1.jpghope to make it a yearly tradition...no excuses necessary!
